Wellman Takes Gold at NV Meet

The Horton girls took third at the Nemaha Valley Cross Country Invitational Tuesday and the boys placed fifth.
Haley Wellman took the gold with a time of 17:18. Other girl medalists include Morgan Horsch 15th at 19:55 and Lindsey Gaskell 16th at 20:01. Other female competitors include Paige Gasper 22nd and Laura Jensen 27th. The boys were led by Adrian McAfee, who medaled at 16th with a time of 20:03 and Bryce Platt, medaling at 17th with a time of 20:10. Other boys who competed include Andrew Jensen 37th, Nick Larson 38th, Joey Chadwell 40th, Eruviel Montes 43rd and Riley Richling 44th.
